VectorHit

Frequently asked questions

VectorHit is a free, login-free tool to convert PNG, JPG, and WebP logos into clean SVG vectors.

How good is the SVG output compared to Vectorizer.io or Vector Magic?
VectorHit is tuned for logos and icons: sub-pixel edge refinement, corner-aware paths, hole detection (even-odd fill), and axis snapping for straight logo geometry. Simple auto-trace tools often miss holes or round sharp corners; VectorHit targets production-ready SVG for Figma, Illustrator, and the web.
Is VectorHit really free? Are there hidden limits or paywalls?
Yes — VectorHit is 100% free at launch: no account, no credit card, no watermarks on exports. Fair-use limits may apply later to prevent abuse, but the core converter stays free for typical logo and icon workflows.
What happens to my uploaded images? (Privacy)
Files are processed in memory on the server for vectorization and are not stored as a permanent user library. After you download your SVG, temporary processing data is discarded. Do not upload confidential material you would not send to a third-party conversion service.
Which file formats are supported?
Upload PNG, JPG/JPEG, or WebP (max 15 MB). Output is SVG with paths suited to flat logos and icons; photographic or heavily textured artwork may need manual cleanup in a vector editor.
Do I need an account or API key?
No login is required. There is no public API during the launch phase — use the web interface at vectorhit.com. A documented API may be offered later.
Can I use the SVG commercially?
You retain rights to your source artwork and exported SVG. VectorHit does not claim ownership of your files. Ensure you have the rights to the original raster image before commercial use.
